The Armor Pendant takes its name from the art of chainmail that was all the rage during Medieval times. Made of facets of flat hammered brass that are connected by hundreds of chain links to form a luminous shade when the lights are switched on, the brass pendant is an homage to medieval armor. To put this in more modern times, think Gregor Clegane, the notorious knight in the Game of Thrones nicknamed “The Mountain.” A close examination of the shade of this canister pendant reveals that there is a patina to the metal pieces that brings this light fixture a subtle texture. We also offer the Armor as a chandelier. Both light fixtures reflect the ethos that Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.
