Description
This mirror is a special item and the picture does not do it justice. The mirrored field has been silvered by hand which gives it a clarity and character you get no other way. The large mirror field is made up of 2 separate pieces of mirror carefully jointed and matched to each other. This was a technique used in making mirrors years ago. Because of the size of glass available larger mirrors were made up of two or three separate mirror panels. The brass star in the center of the mirror has been cast in brass, polished and finished in a silver leaf, making it a special accent. Lastly the mirror is surrounded by smaller pieces of mirror that have been hand cut and beveled to perfectly fit and set off the center field. This mirror is a work of art made individually by hand.
