Orion Counter Stool

With wrapped veneer and performance-grade linen, The Orion counter stool is equal parts beautiful and practical. Bronze sabots cap each tapered  leg and the sloping, curved silhouette evokes casual luxury. The Villa & House driftwood finish is created with durable and sustainably-farmed Cape Lilac Mahogany from Indonesia. It’s grain—similar to oak—is wire brushed to emphasize the whirls and patterns. Then, the wood is stained with a background color and rubbed with cerusing pigment to contrast each ridge, creating a coastal finish. The result is a comfortable, modern, and curved counter stool that marries mid-century bent plywood designs with an Art Deco flair. It would be appropriate in a dining room, kitchen, or family room with a counter height peninsula.
